D-Day - (minus) 36: When day turns to night and night to day and you can't tell the difference, except by your 24 hr clock. Yeah, am gettin' there. The Zone awaits.

Day 10: Milestoned
More a roadblock than a milestone. And more stoned than miled. Reading a lot, but nothing sticks. Carrot-and-stick policy may be the need of the hour. Back to subsistence needs and Pavlovian conditioning.

Day 6 [contd.]: No Turning Back
Submitted the application form today. Whew. The <boing> of no return (though that was past with the start of my unpaid leave, stress on un). Or, as the instructions mention:
"NO REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF CANDIDATURE RECEIVED FROM A CANDIDATE AFTER HE/SHE HAS SUBMITTED HIS/HER APPLICATION WILL BE ENTERTAINED."
Day 6: All nighter!
Momentous this is, for more reasons than one. Though I can't think of more than two, currently. One, an all-nighter after, let's see, 4-5 years! Secondly, my third consecutive post in 3 days! Am quite sure I've never done the latter before. The former, not since college, and definitely not for productive work (though work inherently should be so, has remained elusive thus far).

Day 5: Learning by Rote, Redundancy and Repitition
Though I should be writing (with pen on paper), typing somehow makes me think I'll ratto-fy faster. In my current burst of enthu, the topics have begun to even seem interesting (a step further from simply 'sounding' so).
Administration, in particular, touches upon socio-managerial isues of prime relevance. (And yes, I'm talking like this since that's how I need to write those upcoming dreaded papers.)

"Just beyond the horizon of current events lie two possible political futures — both bleak, neither democratic.

Day 4: The Trough, nay, the Trench of Disillusionment
On third thoughts, it should read: The Trough, nay, the Trench, and the Stench of Disillusionment.
Fluke euphoria past, it is time to get down to serious studying. Civil Services Mains. No quiver of thrill, just a shiver, every frickin' time I think of these words. Lemme do it again. Civil Services Mains. Hello, palpitations.
Day counting started from Saturday the 27th, though should've begun earlier. Less than 2 months to go now.
Day 3, yesterday, was pretty bad too. Hardly 4-5 topics covered. Then why am I sitting blabbing out here instead of trying to get another 10 pages crossed off the reading list? Well, I encountered what I may term my oldest nemesis - Inconsistency. Also, maybe the public venting will make my friends and well-wishers take note, and stay off my case, or what is more likely, nag me more.

Potter Review
Harry Potter and The Bloody Brilliant End to the Saga.
Easily the best movie of the lot, brings a whole new level of pure Awesomeness to the series. And I'm not even talking of the 3D [though I could expound on the 3d gorgeousness of Hermione and heart stopping 3d prettiness of Luna]! Spoiler alert: The movie is so gripping it'll make you forget the book, and stop comparing, the instant it starts. (Haha, you thought I'd leak some info huh?)
